Dr. Stout is a 20 year “veteran” of depression and bipolar disorder and author of: Bipolar Disorder: Rebuilding Your Life and Tips for Winning Over Serious Depression and Reclaiming Your Life, other Speakers

Details:
-History: 130 people attended this unique, hands-on seminar when first presented in January, 2008 from 9 a.m-3 p.m. It was open to the public and sponsored by St, Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA, a 4200 member congregation.
-Other speakers included: Himasiri De Silva, M.D. DFAPA, Medical Director, Psychiatric Dept., St. Joseph’s Hospital, Orange, CA and Assistant Clinical Professor, University of California, Irvine, CA. He spoke on medications and other treatments. In addition, two patients and a family member shared their journeys.
-Included in the seminar were a free guidebook/workbook for each participant as well as lunch, snacks, discussion groups, Q & A, music and skits.
-Seating was limited to “first come-first served,” and there was a waiting list.
    -Due to Dr. Stout’s current writing schedule, he is limiting the number of seminars and speaking engagements he will do in ‘08-’09.
